Product overview
ThinkPad E-series machines trade the carbon-fibre construction of the X and T lines for a lower price while keeping the keyboard, the TrackPoint and the serviceability. The keyboard remains among the best available on a laptop at any price, which matters if you type all day. The Ryzen 7 7730U is an eight-core 15 W part — efficient rather than fast, well matched to office work and a 57 Wh battery that lasts a working day.

Specs match the listing
I compared four of these on paper before ordering, so the line I actually checked was "Memory". The page says 16 GB DDR4-3200, and that is what turned up. Keyboard is among the best available on a laptop.

My mistake, but read the avoid note
Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Anyone needing discrete graphics or sustained high-performance compute — this is a 15 W efficiency part. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.

Happy with it, but go in informed
Keyboard is among the best available on a laptop. The one thing to know before ordering: 15 W processor limits sustained performance. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.

No notes
Keyboard is among the best available on a laptop. That was the whole reason I picked this over the cheaper options, and it is exactly as described. Also worth mentioning: 16:10 WUXGA display with 300 nits. Nothing has surprised me in a full season.

Posting after real use, not unboxing
Had this six weeks now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. 16:10 WUXGA display with 300 nits. Still mildly irritated by one thing: 15 W processor limits sustained performance. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.
