Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Intel Core i5 13th Gen 15.6" FHD Laptop

One free DDR4 slot, so memory can be doubled cheaply later. The one thing to know before ordering: 47 Wh gives roughly five to six hours of real work. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.

I compared four of these on paper before ordering, so the line I actually checked was "Memory". The page says 16 GB DDR4, one slot soldered and one free, and that is what turned up. Core i5-13420H with 8 cores holds about 35 W sustained.

The page describes who this is for, and it described me: Students and office users wanting solid performance and an upgrade path, mains usually within reach. On that basis it has been the right call. One free DDR4 slot, so memory can be doubled cheaply later.

Had this six weeks now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. Core i5-13420H with 8 cores holds about 35 W sustained. Still mildly irritated by one thing: 47 Wh gives roughly five to six hours of real work. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.

Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Anyone needing all-day battery, or expecting to charge over USB-C. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.
