Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: The specification that separates this from every x86 competitor is not peak performance but where it holds: about 78 W sustained on battery as well as on mains. A Windows workstation laptop typically loses a third or more of its performance the moment it is unplugged. Combined with a 100 Wh battery, which is the legal aircraft cabin maximum, it is the only machine here that does full work on a long flight.

Right product for the right person
The page describes who this is for, and it described me: Professionals doing sustained heavy work away from mains power. On that basis it has been the right call. Full performance on battery, which x86 laptops do not deliver.

Happy with it, but go in informed
Full performance on battery, which x86 laptops do not deliver. The one thing to know before ordering: Memory and storage soldered, so specify correctly at purchase. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.

No notes
Full performance on battery, which x86 laptops do not deliver. That was the whole reason I picked this over the cheaper options, and it is exactly as described. Also worth mentioning: 1600 nits peak mini-LED at 120 Hz, the best panel in this catalogue. Been using it now for three months.

Posting after real use, not unboxing
Had this three months now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. 1600 nits peak mini-LED at 120 Hz, the best panel in this catalogue. Still mildly irritated by one thing: Memory and storage soldered, so specify correctly at purchase. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.

Three stars, and here is exactly why
Leading with the problem, because it is what I would have wanted to read: Memory and storage soldered, so specify correctly at purchase. 2.16 kg, the heaviest laptop here. Neither is hidden — both are listed on the page — but they matter more in daily use than they look on a spec sheet. I have kept it, for one reason: Full performance on battery, which x86 laptops do not deliver. That still outweighs the rest, but only just.
