Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: Two hard limits on the M2 that no listing states plainly. It drives one external display, not two, which is a silicon limitation and not a settings problem -- people discover it after buying a second monitor. And it is fanless, so sustained heavy work throttles where an M2 Pro would not. For everything short of that the 66.5 Wh battery genuinely delivers around fifteen hours, and 500 nits is usable outdoors.

Does the one thing I bought it for
Around 15 hours of real battery life, silently, with no fan at all. That was the whole reason I picked this over the cheaper options, and it is exactly as described. Also worth mentioning: 500 nits sustained, genuinely usable in bright conditions. Nothing has surprised me in most of a year.

My mistake, but read the avoid note
Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Anyone needing two external monitors, or sustained heavy rendering. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.

Good, with one thing to plan for
Around 15 hours of real battery life, silently, with no fan at all. The one thing to know before ordering: Drives only one external display — a hard M2 limitation. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.

Bought it on the numbers, and the numbers were right
I compared four of these on paper before ordering, so the line I actually checked was "Panel type". The page says Liquid Retina IPS, 2880 x 1864, 60 Hz, and that is what turned up. Around 15 hours of real battery life, silently, with no fan at all.
