Tripp Lite SmartRack 12U Wall-Mount Rack Enclosure
In stock
Wall-mount rack enclosure. Rack units: 12U.
Direct answer: is the Tripp Lite SmartRack 12U Wall-Mount Rack Enclosure right for you?
The useful number is not 12U but the 20.5 inch mounting depth -- most 1U servers are deeper than that, so this holds switches, patch panels and a small UPS, not servers.

Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: The useful number is not 12U but the 20.5 inch mounting depth -- most 1U servers are deeper than that, so this holds switches, patch panels and a small UPS, not servers. A 200 lb load rating on a wall mount depends entirely on what is behind the drywall; into studs it is fine, into anchors alone it is not. The hinged back allows cabling from behind, which is the difference between a tidy closet and one where every change means unracking.
Who should buy this
Network closets holding switches, patch panels and a rack UPS where no floor space exists.
Who should avoid this
Anyone racking servers, which need a deeper enclosure and usually a floor-standing one.

Specs match the listing
I compared four of these on paper before ordering, so the line I actually checked was "Door type". The page says Lockable acrylic front, hinged back section, and that is what turned up. 200 lb load rating when mounted into studs.

Posting after real use, not unboxing
Had this six weeks now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. 200 lb load rating when mounted into studs. Still mildly irritated by one thing: 20.5 inch mounting depth is too shallow for most servers. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.

Wrong product for my situation
Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Anyone racking servers, which need a deeper enclosure and usually a floor-standing one. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.

Happy with it, but go in informed
Hinged back for cabling access from behind. The one thing to know before ordering: 20.5 inch mounting depth is too shallow for most servers. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.
