Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: Bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate genuinely reconnects broken disulfide bonds, which is real chemistry rather than a conditioning coating -- but that only matters if your hair has broken bonds. On virgin, untreated hair there is very little for it to repair, and it becomes an expensive sulfate-free shampoo. It also does nothing for split ends, which are mechanical damage that only cutting resolves.

Listing was accurate, which is rarer than it should be
Genuine disulfide bond repair, not a conditioning coating. That was the whole reason I picked this over the cheaper options, and it is exactly as described. Also worth mentioning: Sulfate free and colour safe. Been using it now for two months.

Wrong product for my situation
Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Anyone with virgin untreated hair — there is little for the active to do. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.

Good, with one thing to plan for
Genuine disulfide bond repair, not a conditioning coating. The one thing to know before ordering: Little benefit on virgin, chemically untreated hair. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.
