Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: The comparison worth making is with a top loader rather than with other front loaders. This uses about 55 litres a cycle where a top loader uses closer to 150, and washes more thoroughly because clothes tumble through water rather than being agitated in it. The price is time: a full cotton cycle takes around two hours where a top loader takes forty minutes.
Who should buy this
Anyone who values water use and wash quality over cycle time, in a home with a level floor.
Who should avoid this
Anyone needing laundry done quickly, or with intermittent water supply -- a front loader will not run part-filled.

Happy with it, but go in informed
About 55 litres a cycle against roughly 150 for a top loader. The one thing to know before ordering: A full cotton cycle takes around two hours. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.

My mistake, but read the avoid note
Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Anyone needing laundry done quickly, or with intermittent water supply — a front loader will not run part-filled. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.

Right product for the right person
The page describes who this is for, and it described me: Anyone who values water use and wash quality over cycle time, in a home with a level floor. On that basis it has been the right call. About 55 litres a cycle against roughly 150 for a top loader.

Posting after real use, not unboxing
Had this a couple of weeks now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. Direct drive inverter motor with a 10 year warranty and no belt to fail. Still mildly irritated by one thing: A full cotton cycle takes around two hours. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.
