Hyaluronic acid gel moisturiser. Key actives: Sodium hyaluronate, glycerin. Fragrance: Fragranced.
Direct answer: is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Moisturizer 50g right for you?
Hyaluronic acid is a humectant, which means it pulls water from the air around it -- so this works beautifully in Indian humidity and can actively backfire in a dry air-conditioned office, where with nothing sealing it, it draws moisture from deeper skin instead.

Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: Hyaluronic acid is a humectant, which means it pulls water from the air around it -- so this works beautifully in Indian humidity and can actively backfire in a dry air-conditioned office, where with nothing sealing it, it draws moisture from deeper skin instead. Use it under an occlusive in dry air, or on its own in monsoon. The fragrance is worth noting since it is the commonest reaction trigger in any moisturiser.

Good, with one thing to plan for
Water gel absorbs in seconds with no residue under sunscreen. The one thing to know before ordering: Fragranced, which is the commonest reaction trigger in a moisturiser. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.

Right product for the right person
The page describes who this is for, and it described me: Oily and combination skin in humid conditions, where a humectant works as intended. On that basis it has been the right call. Water gel absorbs in seconds with no residue under sunscreen.

My mistake, but read the avoid note
Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Anyone in dry or air-conditioned air using it alone, and anyone sensitive to fragrance. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.

After a few months
Had this most of a year now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. Non-comedogenic and oil free, so it suits acne-prone skin. Still mildly irritated by one thing: Fragranced, which is the commonest reaction trigger in a moisturiser. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.
