Travelambo RFID Blocking Genuine Leather Travel Wallet
In stock
RFID-blocking passport travel wallet. Holds passport, boarding pass and cards. RFID blocking is genuinely relevant to e-passports, unlike cards
Direct answer: is the Travelambo RFID Blocking Genuine Leather Travel Wallet right for you?
RFID blocking is more defensible on a passport wallet than on a card wallet, because a biometric e-passport chip does not use the per-transaction cryptogram that makes card skimming useless.

Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: RFID blocking is more defensible on a passport wallet than on a card wallet, because a biometric e-passport chip does not use the per-transaction cryptogram that makes card skimming useless. Its protection is Basic Access Control, which requires data from the printed page, so remote reading is difficult rather than impossible. The main value remains prosaic: passport and boarding pass in one place.

Not the product’s fault, but be warned
Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Anyone travelling domestically only — this is bulk for no benefit. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.

Checked the leather claim
I compared four of these on paper before ordering, so the line I actually checked was "Leather". The page says Genuine cowhide, and that is what turned up. RFID blocking is genuinely more relevant for e-passports than for cards.

Happy with it, but go in informed
RFID blocking is genuinely more relevant for e-passports than for cards. The one thing to know before ordering: Bulky in a pocket — this is a bag item. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.
