Listing was accurate, which is rarer than it should be
IPS panel holds colour at wide viewing angles. That was the whole reason I picked this over the cheaper options, and it is exactly as described. Also worth mentioning: Lowest rated power of any 43-inch set here at 80 W. Nothing has surprised me in most of a year.

Three stars, and here is exactly why
Leading with the problem, because it is what I would have wanted to read: IPS black levels are visibly weaker than VA in a dark room. 20 W audio. Neither is hidden — both are listed on the page — but they matter more in daily use than they look on a spec sheet. I have kept it, for one reason: IPS panel holds colour at wide viewing angles. That still outweighs the rest, but only just.

Not the product’s fault, but be warned
Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Dark-room film viewing, where IPS black levels look grey next to VA. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.

Holding up so far
Had this a couple of weeks now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. Lowest rated power of any 43-inch set here at 80 W. Still mildly irritated by one thing: IPS black levels are visibly weaker than VA in a dark room. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.

Matched my use exactly
The page describes who this is for, and it described me: Wide seating arrangements where several people watch from off-centre. On that basis it has been the right call. IPS panel holds colour at wide viewing angles.
