Chuckit! Ultra Rubber Ball Dog Toy 2-Pack Medium
In stock
Pet supply. Medium, 6.5 cm. Ball size must exceed the dog's throat diameter -- undersized balls are an asphyxiation risk
Direct answer: is the Chuckit! Ultra Rubber Ball Dog Toy 2-Pack Medium right for you?
Ball size is a safety specification rather than a preference: the ball must be too large to pass the back of the dog's throat, and an undersized ball is a documented cause of asphyxiation rather than a theoretical concern.

Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: Ball size is a safety specification rather than a preference: the ball must be too large to pass the back of the dog's throat, and an undersized ball is a documented cause of asphyxiation rather than a theoretical concern. Medium suits dogs to roughly 20 kg and is genuinely unsafe for a large breed. It is also a fetch toy rather than a chew toy.

After a few months
Had this most of a year now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. Fits Chuckit launchers for distance throwing. Still mildly irritated by one thing: Medium is unsafe for large breeds — size up. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.

Fine, once I adjusted my expectations
Leading with the problem, because it is what I would have wanted to read: Medium is unsafe for large breeds — size up. Not a chew toy; a determined chewer destroys it. Neither is hidden — both are listed on the page — but they matter more in daily use than they look on a spec sheet. I have kept it, for one reason: Natural rubber that floats and bounces high. That still outweighs the rest, but only just.

Good, with one thing to plan for
Natural rubber that floats and bounces high. The one thing to know before ordering: Medium is unsafe for large breeds — size up. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.

Specs match the listing
I compared four of these on paper before ordering, so the line I actually checked was "Size". The page says Medium, 6.5 cm diameter, and that is what turned up. Natural rubber that floats and bounces high.

Read the fit note, and it was me
The page describes who this is for, and it described me: Dogs up to about 20 kg who fetch rather than chew. On that basis it has been the right call. Natural rubber that floats and bounces high.
