Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: SDS-plus is the specification that matters: the bit locks into the chuck and is driven by a piston rather than gripped by jaws, which is why this drills concrete that stops a hammer drill outright. 2.0 ft-lb of impact energy is the honest measure of a rotary hammer, not the wattage -- an 8 amp motor delivering 2.0 ft-lb outperforms a larger motor delivering less. It is corded, which for a tool used in bursts against concrete is an advantage rather than a compromise: no battery to run flat halfway through an anchor.
Who should buy this
Anyone drilling concrete or masonry regularly, where a hammer drill is the wrong tool.
Who should avoid this
General timber and plasterboard work, where a cordless drill driver is faster and lighter.

No notes
2.0 ft-lb of impact energy through an SDS-plus chuck. That was the whole reason I picked this over the cheaper options, and it is exactly as described. Also worth mentioning: Three modes: rotation only, hammer only, and both. No regrets after six weeks.

Four stars, and here is the fifth — Corded
2.0 ft-lb of impact energy through an SDS-plus chuck. The one thing to know before ordering: Corded, so a generator or an outlet is required. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.

Holding up so far
Had this about a month now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. Three modes: rotation only, hammer only, and both. Still mildly irritated by one thing: Corded, so a generator or an outlet is required. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.

Wrong product for my situation
Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: General timber and plasterboard work, where a cordless drill driver is faster and lighter. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.
