Direct answer: is the Syska Smart Wi-Fi RGB LED Strip Light 5 Metre with App and Voice Control right for you?
Single-zone rather than addressable, which is the honest difference between this and strips costing twice as much: the whole 5 metres shows one colour at a time, so the flowing multi-colour effects in the marketing images are not something this can produce.

Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: Single-zone rather than addressable, which is the honest difference between this and strips costing twice as much: the whole 5 metres shows one colour at a time, so the flowing multi-colour effects in the marketing images are not something this can produce. As plain indirect cove or under-cabinet lighting at Rs1,299 it is fine.

Posting after real use, not unboxing
Had this a full season now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. Cuttable at 10 cm intervals to fit an exact run. Still mildly irritated by one thing: Single zone — cannot show multiple colours at once. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.

Worth it for one thing — Rs1
Rs1,299 for 5 metres including the adapter. That was the whole reason I picked this over the cheaper options, and it is exactly as described. Also worth mentioning: Cuttable at 10 cm intervals to fit an exact run. Nothing has surprised me in six weeks.

Three stars, and here is exactly why
Leading with the problem, because it is what I would have wanted to read: Single zone — cannot show multiple colours at once. IP20 means indoor and dry locations only. Neither is hidden — both are listed on the page — but they matter more in daily use than they look on a spec sheet. I have kept it, for one reason: Rs1,299 for 5 metres including the adapter. That still outweighs the rest, but only just.
