Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: Stays and hinges are not the same thing, and the distinction decides whether this is the right product. Flexible side stays stop the sleeve rolling and add resistance to the knee bending too far; they do nothing about the sideways movement a damaged ligament permits. For ordinary sports compression and mild instability this is well made; for a diagnosed ligament injury a hinged brace is the correct tool.
Who should buy this
Athletes wanting compression and mild support that fits under clothing.
Who should avoid this
Anyone with a diagnosed ligament injury -- that needs a hinged brace, not stays.
Key strengths
- Slim enough to wear under trousers or a tracksuit
- Moisture-wicking lining is tolerable through a full training session
- Open patella with a buttress relieves kneecap pressure
Limitations
- Stays are not hinges and do not resist lateral movement

Posting after real use, not unboxing
Had this about a month now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. Moisture-wicking lining is tolerable through a full training session. Still mildly irritated by one thing: Stays are not hinges and do not resist lateral movement. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.

Bought it on the numbers, and the numbers were right
I compared four of these on paper before ordering, so the line I actually checked was "Connectivity". The page says None, and that is what turned up. Slim enough to wear under trousers or a tracksuit.

Three stars, and here is exactly why
Leading with the problem, because it is what I would have wanted to read: Stays are not hinges and do not resist lateral movement. Sizing is measured above the knee, which is easy to get wrong. Neither is hidden — both are listed on the page — but they matter more in daily use than they look on a spec sheet. I have kept it, for one reason: Slim enough to wear under trousers or a tracksuit. That still outweighs the rest, but only just.
