Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: Two specifications justify the price. The gas lift is Class 4, the highest safety class, where cheap chairs use Class 3 cylinders that are the component most likely to fail suddenly. And the lumbar support is built into the backrest with four-way adjustment rather than being a pillow strapped on, which is the difference between support and padding. Buy the size honestly -- XL is for 178 cm and above.
Who should buy this
Users between 178 and 200 cm who sit for long sessions and want genuine lumbar support.
Who should avoid this
Anyone under about 175 cm -- the XL lumbar sits too high and the seat is too deep.

Does the one thing I bought it for
Class 4 gas lift, the highest safety class. That was the whole reason I picked this over the cheaper options, and it is exactly as described. Also worth mentioning: Internal 4-way lumbar rather than a strapped-on pillow. Been using it now for about a month.

My mistake, but read the avoid note
Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Anyone under about 175 cm — the XL lumbar sits too high and the seat is too deep. That was my situation and I ordered anyway. It does what it says on the page — it just was not the thing I needed.

Read the fit note, and it was me
The page describes who this is for, and it described me: Users between 178 and 200 cm who sit for long sessions and want genuine lumbar support. On that basis it has been the right call. Class 4 gas lift, the highest safety class.

Bought it on the numbers, and the numbers were right
I compared four of these on paper before ordering, so the line I actually checked was "Foam". The page says Cold-cure, which holds shape far longer than standard moulded foam, and that is what turned up. Class 4 gas lift, the highest safety class.

Happy with it, but go in informed
Class 4 gas lift, the highest safety class. The one thing to know before ordering: XL sizing is wrong for anyone under about 175 cm. To be fair that is written on the product page. I skimmed past it and had to rearrange things afterwards.
