Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: The 108 MP figure is the marketing hook and the least interesting thing about the phone. Pixel binning means it outputs 12 MP in most conditions, and without OIS the low-light results trail cheaper phones that have it. The panel is the real strength here.
Who should buy this
Buyers who want a bright, large AMOLED and treat the camera as secondary.
Who should avoid this
Anyone buying for the camera — 108 MP without OIS is worse than 50 MP with it.

Read the fit note, and it was me
The page describes who this is for, and it described me: Buyers who want a bright, large AMOLED and treat the camera as secondary. On that basis it has been the right call. 2100-nit panel is among the brightest at this price.

After a few months
Had this two months now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. 4 years of security patches. Still mildly irritated by one thing: 108 MP main camera has no OIS; low-light output suffers. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.
Vijay K.Sample2 found this helpful - 3 out of 5 stars, in a sample review of Redmi Note 14 5G (Phantom Purple, 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage)
Three stars, and here is exactly why
Leading with the problem, because it is what I would have wanted to read: 108 MP main camera has no OIS; low-light output suffers. Only 2 Android upgrades. Neither is hidden — both are listed on the page — but they matter more in daily use than they look on a spec sheet. I have kept it, for one reason: 2100-nit panel is among the brightest at this price. That still outweighs the rest, but only just.

- Why a 20,000 mAh power bank does not give you 20,000 mAhA 20,000 mAh power bank delivers roughly 13,000 mAh to your phone, not 20,000.
