Editorial verdict
Grounded in published specifications
Summary verdict: The knot is what distinguishes woven field fence from welded wire -- a Square Deal knot slips under impact and springs back, where a weld snaps and leaves a hole. 47 inches is the standard cattle and horse height; goats and sheep need a smaller mesh spacing than the 6 inch this uses, or they will put their heads through it. A 330 ft roll weighs about 240 lb and needs a tractor or three people to handle, which is worth knowing before it arrives on a pallet.
Who should buy this
Cattle, horse and general livestock perimeter fencing on open ground.
Who should avoid this
Goats and horned sheep, who need a smaller mesh spacing than this.

Does the one thing I bought it for
Square Deal knot flexes under impact instead of breaking. That was the whole reason I picked this over the cheaper options, and it is exactly as described. Also worth mentioning: Class 1 galvanised coating for corrosion resistance. Nothing has surprised me in two months.

Holding up so far
Had this a couple of weeks now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. Class 1 galvanised coating for corrosion resistance. Still mildly irritated by one thing: About 240 lb per roll — needs machinery to move. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.

Be ready for one thing — About 240 lb per roll
Leading with the problem, because it is what I would have wanted to read: About 240 lb per roll — needs machinery to move. 6 in mesh is too large for goats and horned sheep. Neither is hidden — both are listed on the page — but they matter more in daily use than they look on a spec sheet. I have kept it, for one reason: Square Deal knot flexes under impact instead of breaking. That still outweighs the rest, but only just.
