Genuinely my own fault. Posting so somebody else does not repeat it. The listing says who should avoid this: Anyone who has not checked tray availability in India, or has more than one cat. Posting after real use, not unboxing
Had this three months now, so this is not an unboxing opinion. Crystal litter controls odour better than clay. Still mildly irritated by one thing: Proprietary trays are an unavoidable and substantial ongoing cost. Known trade-off rather than a fault, though, and I would buy it again.
